The Recommended Staff Assistant (RSA) works on teams to fulfill duties "behind the scenes." This role develops the heart of a character-driven, servant leader. The opportunities to serve as a Recommended Staff Assistant take place at international events such as IGNITE and the International Convention. Student Leadership opportunities require being a chapter member in good standing.

Requirements and Eligibility

• At least 15 years of age within 30 days if event
• YSG 2 completed
• Participated as an Apprentice at an event (IGNITE, iCON,  CFC)
• Attended 1 international event in the past 12 months (IGNITE Winter Advance, PREP/Media PREP, or iCON)

 Steps to Register

• Talk to your Chapter Sponsor about your interest in being an RSA.
• Register as an RSA for IGNITE or iCON
  • Use the classroom code sent to the email on your registration to enter the iRSA classroom in the Academy.
    • Recommendation requests, Student Leadership Liability, Waiver, and Medical Form Request, and other Required Documents are all found in this classroom.
• All leaders in residence roles require up-to-date liability waivers, medical forms, and student leadership agreement forms which expire annually each spring in March. Request a form to sign by clicking on this link: Student Leadership, Liability Waiver, and Medical Forms Request and completing the request form.
• Transportation: RSAs who need rides fill out the Travel Form 

Preference given to applications on a first come, first serve basis.

PRE-CONFERENCE PREPARATION

All RSA students are required to complete the iRSA course in our ICC Academy.

Once you register as an RSA, you will be added to the Student Leadership Pathway Section: RSA/PREP in the ICC Academy where you will find assignments to prepare for your learning practicum at your upcoming event.
